We are in desperate need for materials to make improvements at the refuge.
Sadly, we only receive funding from the public and this income is eaten up very quickly paying for food, refuge rent and vet’s bills. It leaves us with little or no money for materials.
Here is our idea:
Very soon we will publish a ‘Wish List’ of items and materials that we need, this will range from bags of concrete to fencing panels to much more, and all at a range of prices (we get discounts at suppliers for much of this).
All you have to do is let us know what you would like to tick off the list . When we recieve the donation we will give / send a certificate of recognition, place your name ‘With Thanks’ in all our media and when the area for which your donated items have been used is built or improved a plaque will bear your name. i.e., “Thanks to Mr Black and Miss White this fence has been built for the dogs of Live Arico.”
So, for all time your name is recognised by us. Perhaps you can dedicate your donation to a beloved pet? This is a lovely way to see that your kindness is actually making a major difference to the lives of the dogs. As each area is improved / constructed we will place photos on the website and on our Facebook page.
If you live in Tenerife and are making improvements, extending or even building your property you could have leftover materials…again these can be used. Just let us know and we can arrange to pick up….don’t throw it in the skip….ask yourself, “can it be reused”…the answer will probably be “YES”…give it to us, better for the environment and so badly needed by us!
