Do you remember the film, Gremlins?

Well, it might be a bit unkind but Pitufa does look a bit like one of those!

She is very old but very cute and is hoping to find someone that can give her some good food and excellent company.

Can you help, or do you know someone that can look after, Pitufa the loveable Gremlin?

Yes, Tano is still hoping for a forever home.

Although we have taken him off the TLC item on our Home page please do not forget about him.

He is a male mixed breed caniche cross, 2 years old.  Some weeks ago he was found knocked down outside the refuge.  He has a broken hip, but is getting better and resting in Hospivet Sur.

He needs a home, affection and attention, can you help?

The Benefit day at Oliver’s Restaurant and Bar in Los Cristianos was very well attended by locals & tourists, a brilliant day of music, song, dancing & fun in the sunshine and all whilst raising money for our Live Arico doggies.

The event was compared by our own Suzy Q & Gordon King, the venue’s usual compare/singer and a fantastic day was had by all.

Along with all the artists who came along & performed, giving their time for free, we were well assisted with our ‘Bling & Designer Clothes’ stall, by our lovely volunteers from our Los Cristianos Charity Shop, Maureen, Brenda, Denise Taylor, Trisha the Los Cris shop Manager, & Siobhan our San Eugenio shop manager.  This is the first time we have brought the outlet of the ’Charity Shops‘ out on the road, but it proved a big success, & we will do it again, where there is room to do so.

Amongst the fund raising efforts were a Jewellery & Designer Clothes stall, a Hand Made Card Display (by local  artist Alison Sturgess), who also takes orders for pet portraits &  gives a  25% donation to Live Arico on each one), a football card, & a raffle with lots of lovely prizes donated by supporters of Live Arico & Oliver’s Restaurant & Bar.

Tenerife Drinking Water Filters have also offered a 20% donation to Live Arico for any under sink water filters installed when a customer mentions “Live Arico”.  To order yours, contact them now on 922 729 365 or by e-mail tenerifewater@yahoo.com and don’t forget to mention us!

In total we raised 515 Euros for our doggie, well worth all the hard work & play!!

They are based on Calle Caracas on the Poligono Industrial estate in Las Chafiras and their auctions take place every Saturday.

If you cannot get the items there yourself you can just contact us and we will arrange for a pick up.

All proceeds from the auctioned items will go directly towards reducing our bill at Hospivet Sur.

Meet Max.

Max is sad.  He is around 9 years old, and when we look at his history, we see, he spent 18 months in K9, and has since been shunted from pillar to post.  He is so sweet we don’t know why this is.

He is very quiet, and has to be segregated from the bulk of the dogs as they tend to pick on him.  He is lovely.  He needs mountains of TLC and will give mountains of love in return.
